What would the salary of an IES officer be after the seventh pay commission?

After the seventh commission payment:

Now the starting salary for any group A service will be Rs 56,100 / -.

See the figure above, which was taken from the seventh pay commission report.
The starting salaries of all civil servants (group A) are the same (salary level 10 or Rs 56,100 + (DA = Rs 0.00 as of 1.1.2016) + HRA + transport allowance.

This will also apply to IES.

Summarizing:

Basic payment: 56,100 / -

DA: It depends on the date and time of your registration: 12% after January 2017.

HRA: 24% of base salary (provided government accommodation is not available)

TA: 7200 / -

There will be deduction like NPS, group insurance, income tax, etc.

The conclusion is that the net salary will be 55000 / - (approx.).

Basic minimum for newly hired IES officer: ₹ 56,100.00

No HRA, as most HEI officers obtain government housing.

The travel allowance (TA) will be around ₹ 7000.00

  1. As of 1.1.2016 the DA will be 0. Depending on how the previous DA increase occurred, it will be 6% of the basic salary and will increase every 6 months.

  2. Taking into account that you are aspiring to the 2016 exam and you pass and become IES, when you join the service you will have a 12% DA, which will be ₹ 6700.00 approx.

  3. The NPS deduction will be around ₹ 6000.00 and the group insurance scheme deduction will be around ₹ 5000.00 (per recommendation of the seventh

If you do not have insurance policies / home loans / other tax saving options, the income tax of approximately Rs ₹ 5000.00 will also be deducted. PF will also be deducted

So in conclusion, you will get around ₹ 50,000.00, but you will definitely get 12% DA increase and 3% basic increase every year.
