What's the best way to post a job ad on multiple job boards?

If you are interested, you can write automation for each board in such a way that next time you just update the content and run the job, it will post it automatically.

How to get companies to start posting jobs on their job board

Just show them that you have decent job seeker traffic to your site. If your site is popular with the relevant professional community, employers and recruiters will come to you.

When you first start a job board, you are faced with a so-called "chicken and egg problem":
If there are no job openings, candidates will not go to your website and apply.
If there are no applicants applying, employers will not post jobs.
You must solve both sides of this problem at the same time to be successful.

When you first start a job board, you are faced with a so-called "chicken and egg problem":
If there are no job openings, candidates will not go to your website and apply.
If there are no applicants applying, employers will not post jobs.
You must solve both sides of this problem at the same time to be successful.

From my experience working with hundreds of job boards, the biggest challenge here is getting relevant job applicants.

Jobs are available everywhere today. Sites like Indeed and Monster list millions of jobs from countless companies. So even if you are successful enough in finding companies that are willing to post jobs on your site, what would be the reason for job seekers to visit your site? Chances are they can find these jobs elsewhere.

So my recommendation is to first find a way to attract job seekers. And only then address employer attraction. If you convince companies to post on your site, but you won't be able to deliver any results, you will ruin trust with them forever.

It's actually pretty easy to list a certain number of relevant jobs to start with, without having registered employers on your site:
Here are some ideas:

Post replenishment jobs to your job board

Is that how it works:

  1. A recruiter or employer goes to another job board and posts their role.
  2. Job board aggregators scrape all of these job board websites and create a comprehensive job listing.
  3. You can automatically post that list to your job boards based on the criteria and filters you select.
  4. A job board aggregator will often pay you for your website clicks through their job boards. (Note that Indeed has stopped paying job boards for clicks on their replenishment jobs as of this year.)

The most popular job replenishment providers include:

  • Jobs2careers
  • ZipRecruiter
  • Jobg8
  • Indeed

Publish jobs by copying them from company websites

In general, companies won't mind free traffic, and it can also help you get noticed by recruiters in your industry; It will certainly facilitate future conversions if you can show that they are getting qualified applicants through their listings.

I can only answer for myself. I look at the expense: how much it will cost my company to post a job on the job board. I look at the volume of people who actually go to that job board and apply for jobs. I do a search on that job board to see how many jobs are posted there that are similar to mine. So for example, if I need to hire an accountant and this job board doesn't have job openings for accountants, I'd probably think twice about posting. I would also consider whether it is a specific job board for a job setting. For example, I post all my technical posts on Dice.c

I would also consider whether it is a specific job board for a job setting. For example, I post all my technical posts on Dice.com. If I'm still looking to hire that accountant, I wouldn't post it on Dice.com. Dice is a job bank specifically oriented to technical jobs. Besides all that, I track all of our hires and collect the data that shows which job board / resource all of our successful hires are coming from. I can pull data from my spreadsheet showing that the majority of job applicants we hired applied for our jobs through Indeed.com. So I definitely make sure Indeed is a job board that we use regularly.

One thing you might want to consider is do you really want more applicants? a 20% conversion rate is already pretty high. Using another tool or promoting your works more will really only get you more page views and you can do anything to increase your conversion rate.

Sometimes creating barriers for applicants can ensure that only the most motivated applicants apply for your jobs. That 80% of those who see your ad are not necessarily suitable for what you are looking for. However, if you want a large number of people to apply for your jobs (volume not necessarily quality), these points will help:

Sometimes creating barriers for applicants can ensure that only the most motivated applicants apply for your jobs. That 80% of those who see your ad are not necessarily suitable for what you are looking for. However, if you want a large number of people to apply for your jobs (volume not necessarily quality), these points will help:

1) Tell a compelling story: Your job description shouldn't look like a copy and paste of an idiot's guide to job postings. Write a true story, what this job is about, why should someone work for you, what is the meaning and purpose of the job. The people who work with you have this type of profile or personality ... etc.

2) Make it easy: It should be very easy for anyone looking at the page to apply for your job. If they need to go through a few steps, click through a few pages, or use another program, you will lose candidates. The best model is a built-in application form that is included at the end of the job description.

3) Be Consistent - If you're a swashbuckling shady company, don't have a happy, friendly job advertisement saying how much your company loves bunnies. If you're a communications company, make sure your entire website supports it.

4) Facilitate Communication - Provide a phone number or email address where applicants can write to you directly with questions or concerns. You will get a lot of crap, but what you are looking for is interacting with a lot of people, not necessarily of quality.

Over the years, I support the advertising model less and less. I feel like it may be good for the brand or awareness, but if you're sincerely trying to hire good people, direct networking and recruiting are more effective.

You can post a job update to multiple job boards. You will have to allow web scrapers to read your job update on a job board or job site and they will do the rest. Once the update is analyzed, it will send it directly to the job sites and job boards that web scrapers are looking for.

This is a very simple process and web scrapers crawling on behalf of many job boards will take update and update on respective job websites.

Here are a few I have been using: (Please note, mainly for USA, not sure about other countries).
