Promotes fat-free body mass with decreased sarcopenia. The lean muscle mass that we all work so hard for declines with age. If we don't add strength training to our routine, it will turn to fat.

Increases the strength of connective tissue, muscles and tendons. This leads to improved motor performance and a lower risk of injury.

Your quality of life improves as you gain confidence in your body. Strength training will not only make you stronger, it will also help you control your weight.

I would say the most important / foundational fitness would be cardiovascular fitness and strength in bodyweight exercises.
