What job can I get in the US if I have a master's degree in microbiology from India?

Only one option, but diagnostic labs are a good option. I recently worked with a man whose circumstances were slightly different, but quite similar. He was originally born in St. Petersburg, Russia, but had been in the country of Georgia for several years. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you exactly what his degrees graduated from, but I know he had a master's degree in something related to microbiology.

So, it is definitely possible. Our interview process was quite long and rigorous, as it is a detail-oriented and somewhat stressful job, and our employee turnover was high.

So, it is definitely possible. Our interview process was quite long and rigorous as it is a detail-oriented and somewhat stressful job, plus our employee turnover was high at the time. We spoke to him on Skype several times before offering him the job, and that's when he finally decided to start applying to come to the US from Georgia. Currently, he is still working there, but unfortunately he has not yet been able to bring his family to the country. Given the political climate at the moment, it has been very difficult for him to get through all the red tape.

Unfortunately, while it is entirely possible, and I'm sure many places would genuinely consider your application and possibly offer you a job, there are many other circumstances that make coming to the US a struggle regardless.

If you get a master's degree in microbiology, you can get a job anywhere in the world. But it is practically not that easy. Of course, you can apply for industrial jobs in India or the US through the various job listing websites. But actually getting a response from them is wishful thinking, forget about being selected for it (especially in the US or any country abroad).

The jobs you can apply for are in the QA / QC or R&D department in the food, pharmaceutical, agricultural or bottled water industries. After masters, you also apply for PhD (if you want) in the US or the European Union. You need qua

There are several professional options. So you should keep looking for the right one.

There are many other areas in the world with great reputations ... so no one should feel slighted if I don't mention your homeland. However, the United States is definitely a good place to start.

Microbiology is a huge and diverse science, with many opportunities for qualified candidates. Let's name a few just to incubate the conversation.

Independent research in most branches of microbiology will require an advanced degree (PhD). But based on the second part of your question about which branches are best to start a fruitful career, I assume you have an interest in making a quick living, not spending several years pursuing an advanced degree.

Clinical / diagnostic microbiologists often work alongside medical professionals in laboratory settings to diagnose human and animal diseases. Microbiologists dealing directly with human health often hold jobs as "medical scientists," "clinical scientists," "public health technician," or "epidemiologist." For starters, you can often find some job opportunities through your local and / or state public health and safety department.

Environmental microbiologists study the interaction of microorganisms and the world around us. Some fields of study include crop science, pollution, water quality, and many others.

Industrial microbiology is an area in high demand. Both the food and pharmaceutical industries employ large numbers of microbiologists. Their tests guarantee the safety and quality of the food we eat and the medicines we take. This is where I personally started my career in Microbiology. I started acting on the micro. Trials in pharmaceutical industrial production processes. Although my career has come a long way since those (difficult) early days, the lab lab experience I gained formed a knowledge base that opened many doors for me and made me an expert in my field (a bit).

If I were to go back in time and start my college education from scratch, I must say that I was very impressed by the infectious disease research program at the University of Georgia. I recently attended a conference in Athens, GA, and had a great experience.

Whatever branch of microbiology you would like to explore, it is sure to provide you with good opportunities for cultivation.

Getting to the point, if you have an interest in learning microorganisms, then this is the best field and career option for you. By earning a master's degree, you can get a job in pharmaceutical companies, food and dairy industries as a quality control employer, medical coder, and status increases with experience. You can also be a science writer / communicator, editor in publishing companies, HR in private industries. Typically, starting salary rates at pharmaceutical companies range from 15,000 to 30,000 per month and for most other jobs it is less than 25,000. The salary of a quality control manager can go up to 30-40 lakhs per year after years of experience.

You can work as a temporary professor at university, research fellow (31-35k) and project assistant (20-25k) at an institute after your master's program. The teaching position can be filled permanently if you hold a doctorate. degree (~ 40k after permanent). After qualifying for CSIR NET exam, when you enroll in any CSIR institute for PhD, you get scholarship of 31k per month + 24% -30% HRA. This is also valid in other research institutes if you are selected by any entrance examination and interview at the national level.

You have many more opportunities if you specialize in a particular subject, such as medical microbiology, clinical microbiology, immunology, marine microbiology, and geomicrobiology.

PS: Thanks Saumitra for the updates :)

With a B.Sc. In Microbiology, it will be almost impossible to get a job in the same field. With a master's degree in microbiology, you'll get jobs where you'll be asked to work as a lab assistant at a school / university and sometimes maybe a research facility, if you're lucky.

Salaries range from ₹ 7,000 to ₹ 15,000 per month.

There are jobs in areas like quality control and food sterilization, but they are very rare in India; You would have to graduate from one of the top 5 institutes in the country (such as TIFR, University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Sciences). If you manage to finish your M.Sc. of a top-class

If you manage to finish your M.Sc. From a top-notch high school, you could be looking for jobs at companies like Coca-Cola, and they would pay you a few thousand dollars a year.

As for my suggestion to you, if you are sure you have what it takes to get into the best institutes in India, please do so. If you are a good student but not necessarily the best, you would benefit more from a degree in microbiology in countries like Germany, Canada and the US If you are concerned about the costs of education, Germany is very affordable and is a popular choice for many Indian life science students. Canada is expensive, but it is significantly cheaper than the United States. I would say that America is probably the best place to study life sciences, as the field is constantly growing there and the number of jobs is continually increasing. The main problems of studying in the US are the cost of education and living and visa / work permit issues.

If you do what you choose to do after your teachers, you will surely hit heights.

Since they asked me to answer.

Come to think of it, industrial microbiology and environmental microbiology are in focus these days if you end up in either of these it will be great.

Valorie has said it all. You may NEVER receive a job offer from outside of Canada, except in some cases. First you will have to come to Canada (immigrate) and look for work. You can find out if you qualify to come to Canada by visiting the government website for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada and they will guide you through the immigration process. Immigrants.

First, show you have enough money and start here.

It costs around CAD 2000 for one person for any visa. It takes one to five years to get it.

Do you want to come to Canada or extend your stay?

Then once you've arrived in Canada and received your SIN (Social Security Number) card, you can apply for jobs.

No SIN - no job applications (they will be rejected) - no job interviews (why bother, it's not legal to work in Canada) - no jobs - NEVER.

If someone says they can get you a visa for a lower cost or in a faster time, they are lying and they ONLY want your money.

There is only one way to immigrate to Canada: the one I described above.

For example, I decided to go home after school, but my hometown doesn't have many jobs for microbiologists. My city is small and it is a central hub for many other very small cities. There are two hospitals, but handling infectious agents may not seem like the best, but we have chicken and pork processors and even some bottlers who are always looking for specialized food microbiologists.

Since your question is too specific, it is difficult to say anything. Considering that microbiology is a research-oriented field and it is necessary to have a Ph.D., at least, to look for good job opportunities, it is really difficult for anyone to answer this, that too when it comes to the US.

However, landing a good job after your master's degree depends entirely on your skills and conceptual approach towards your specialization. Therefore, do not lose hope as we must not forget that miracles can happen at any time. All the best! : ')

Yes, but it is quite difficult to get into the main field, it may be that you can work in some multinational company and get a promotion later, it all depends on your skills, because even in India after master of biotechnology you have to settle for 15k per month.

To get a job it can be to get an MBA degree to get a job abroad or to complete a PhD or mtech and get a job in the main field, hope it helps! 😊😊😊
