What is the placement at IIT Hyderabad for an executive M.Tech in data science?

What is the placement at IIT Hyderabad for an executive M.Tech in data science?

  • As there is NO meaning of Mtech in Quota Science, similarly there is NO meaning of Mtech in Data Science.
  • It is a scam run by Indian universities, which are run like fools.
  • There is an endless demand for highly skilled computer engineers, even without any school or university degree. How to become an Indian data scientist!

Thanks for the A2A. I will just discuss the M.Tech placement scenario. students at IIT Delhi only. I think I am in a suitable position to answer this as I saw it very closely, being the Placement Coordinator of the Electrical Department, which is the largest department here, with ten different programs and other interdisciplinary programs like VLSI Design Tools and Tech., Telecommunications, etc. I also applied for placements this year.

The Department of Electricity is doing quite well in placements, only slightly behind the Department of Computer Science, which is exceptionally good. Most of VLSI, communications and computer technology. boys get high in the early days, some have to wait longer, but eventually get high. The guys at Power and Control have to work harder as there are fewer companies in their domain, but they do well once the PSUs start to arrive. It is closely followed by the Departments of Mechanics and Applied Mechanics, who work tremendously hard during the placement seasons and make sure that the majority of students are placed. The other departments have to fight harder, but the situation has improved in recent years.

In general, M.Tech. students often even outperform the B.Tech. programs in terms of compensation, and they are on par with them most of the time. What's more important here is that they are mostly placed in the core sectors of engineering, and it's great that the compensation offered is still good enough, which is not the case everywhere. Many also join PhD programs at the IIT or elsewhere and that is considered a placement as well. The truth is, if you work hard, you will definitely get what you deserve at some point. The media projects a very different image of what happens within IITs, most of it is not true. The good things are exaggerated, while the problems seem insurmountable.

Be a B.Tech. from an IIT, my decision to follow M.Tech. in India at IIT Delhi she was questioned and ridiculed countless times. People suggested all kinds of things like, should I go to MS abroad, or maybe an MBA, than M.Tech. students cannot do a good job and are not high, etc. I always believed that you can be the best anywhere, at any time and it is up to you how you want to build your future. Since we are talking about placements, I would like to add that I received three offers from Intel, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Eaton, and I am ready to join Intel in the summer. You see, hard work and determination pay off; If I can do it, others can do it too.

Edit 1: Although I don't advocate running after "packages" at locations, but rather prioritizing the job title, a lot of people have been asking about compensation. Intel Bangalore offers a standard CTC of 15 lpa on all IITs. TSMC offered around 40 lpa in Taiwan (they provide accommodation, food and travel facilities too, quite lucrative, huh?) And Eaton around 8.5 lpa in Pune.

Data science is very broad and you need many different skills like machine learning, NLP, etc. and a good knowledge of languages like Python, R, etc. As a data scientist, you have a lot to learn. If you are in a company where you can learn them along with the job, you can get on with the job. But at work you will apply more of the knowledge you already have and there will be less chance of learning new things. Where, as in the Master, you will learn many of these topics to be used in their entirety in the future. One more thing to consider is getting a job afterwards.

I was the placement coordinator this placement season.
It all started in the week of July 3. Other students may not know it, but the placement cell and coordinators started work for the placement season so early.
The first task is to make the companies and your contact list and update it from time to time.

The second task is to prioritize them according to last year's feedback, package, feedback from graduates (if applicable), last year's intake, or possible intake information.

The third task is to contact them and invite them to the campus campaign.

The third task is to contact them and invite them to the campus campaign.
(Some will not take calls, some may give diplomatic responses, and only a few will accept your invitations)

The fourth task is to assign a coordinator to the company. In the end, each coordinator can get 6 to 7 companies to coordinate. In some cases, it could also appear in interviews with the same company.

Up to this point, no information is useful to the normal student.

The fifth task is to assign a suitable date for the pre-placement talk (PPT) and / or the written test (online / offline, depends on the company) according to the feasibility of the company executives and the seniors. On the date, arrange the rooms and all the necessary facilities to carry out the test.

Then post the shortlisted candidate list according to company boundaries.

up to this point we reached the end of November.

Now the most important task is to make a placement schedule. We need to organize the companies according to their priorities and some special requests, in addition to considering the location of all the branches.

Each student makes their own calendar, according to their preselection. Study company profiles, make a resume, remember the basics, and try to do your best in every company interview until you receive the offer or say the dream offer.

Since the Indian education mafia does not understand the meaning and importance of data science, they have started selling useless titles, just to make more money.

No engineering school in India produces a trained data scientist for the job.

Yes, any Indian student can buy any type of degree, this is the reason for the various types of degrees that are sold in India. Period.

Any young Indian who wants to buy any data science degree from India can get an idea about data science theory through the below mentioned curriculum.

But first make sure you have a job on your hands. Take deep breaths for the first two years and prepare for GATE. Meanwhile, you can delete BITS-HD, PGEE for IIIT easily if you prepare at the GATE level. Even you have 4 years of experience, investing two years in M.

The MTech executive needs considerable preparation because his IIT course after all, but consider the other options suggested in my answer as well and the break is your decision.

Good luck frd.

I don't have much idea about this show. But know about IIT H. University It is going to be one of the best IIT in the near future and has a very competitive faculty. Analytics and machine learning is a highly sought after field and I am sure IIT H programs need to be very competitive. The reason is: it is located in the heart of the second Silicon Valley in India, which is home to some of the best computer and analytics-related companies in the world. you

See the profile of ML faculties and their backgrounds, the university where they did their PhD, how many research articles were published in major journals, and you can get to know the quality of the people you will be working with.

You can try to contact the IIT H M. Tech faculty and students on your mail id provided on the IIT H website.

Good luck.

Yes, I think the M. Tech. Executive in data science is not available at all IITs. IITH has launched this course exclusively for industry professionals. The program is self-paced so candidates can have the flexibility to complete the program in 2 to 4 years. It can be taken on the IITH campus or remotely through video-enabled online courses. However, regular visits to IITH may be required, possibly on weekends.

M.Tech in Data Science is in itself a very lucrative course. Companies all over the world are looking for data scientists and to be honest there is a lack of data scientists right now so this is the best time to do data science and that too from IIT Hyderabad would be great if not is getting the top 7 branch of Computer Science from IIT. For more help, feel free to ping. I hope I have clarified your doubt!

IIIT - H has a PGSSP program for working professionals. This is a single course program, but you must work and stay in Hyderabad. You need to attend classes and take exams along with projects and assignments.

There are many courses to choose from among Cloud Computing, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Information Retrieval, etc.

Graduate Student Status Program (PGSSP)

Are you asking about the MTech data science program, then you have to go through the objective and subjective test and interview to get an admission to this program? it is very rigorous and a good program if you want to specialize in data science. You can also choose to go for the PhD later as it is a master's degree.
