What is the main goal of the puzzle academy? Is it fake or real?

Jigsaw Academy teaches online courses on data science, big data, analytics, and machine learning. They are known to be quite good at this section of the training.

It is definitely not a fake and numerous students have taken his courses and benefited from them. They have received good reviews from both their students and the media. Go see their website. You will definitely get better information.

I joined Jigsaw in 2015. I enrolled in SAS and R language. I paid around 67k for the combined course.

What I found after taking the course: -

  1. The SAS course teaches you only the basics that are not very valuable. the certification offered is not recognized on an international platform. I regret not having opted for the Original Certification by the SAS community itself.
  2. Course R is much better compared to SAS.
  3. They rush through the various topics. Few short videos on each topic.

  4. the faculty is busy most days in corporate training if you call them. If you are looking for chat support, even that becomes an offline message. You need to raise a ticket for every damn problem It is solved in a maximum period of 3 days.
  5. Most of the things you need to figure out on your own, if you are not that good at self study then don't go to an online course like this. you will regret it above all. This is not for average students at all.
  6. They help you 20%, the remaining 80%, it's your own effort. You need to work hard to complete the course. Faculty is helpful, but seems to be mostly unavailable and it becomes really difficult to resolve your queries via email or phone. Most of the time you end up browsing through stackoverflow for help.
  7. The location is not good at all. Most of the jobs they post are for the experienced, for example: - 2-3 years of experience working in R and SAS, you will end up wondering why you would take an online course for this, when you are already working on it. getting a job is pure luck. If you know several languages in data analysis and are good at building models. Yes, you can get a job. It's about working hard and not just joining the courses offered by them. The location offered by them is mainly in Bangalore. If you are ready to move in, please do so.
  8. THERE ARE MANY FREE COURSES AND EVEN PAID COURSES THAT ARE MUCH BETTER THAN JIGSAW.
  9. Analytics teaches you the strategy to market your business to attract buyers. Jigsaw is an amazing example of this. It has flashy marketing and 5-star reviews everywhere. The Company has gone to great lengths to do this (they get in touch with the people who write bad reviews and have them removed in some way), I wish they would at least put a little of this effort into the content and placement of the course .
  10. It all depends on you, how much effort you put into learning from various sources, books, youtube videos, practice practice. Jigsaw gives a certificate and some concepts. That is all.

I'm a student at Jigsaw Academy. The course is quite embarrassed.

Also, there is a negative point with them: THEY DO NOT PROVIDE WRITTEN NOTES. ALSO YOUR TRANSCRIPTS ARE BAD FORMATTED. I believe that written notes / transcripts are very essential for learning.

Imagine this: - Let's say you enroll in a course that lasts one year and has about 50 modules. Let's say you complete 4 modules in the first month. Once, when you are in the fifth month, you will probably not remember the modules you learned in the first month. You should probably review the content.

The problem with Jigsaw is that the moment you choose to review something, you will have to listen to the recordings again. That means spending the same time reviewing as the time you spend learning.

If there are printed notes or transcripts, it is very easy to review the concepts just by reading. The quality of the transcripts is pathetic and the numbers are not in the correct format.

I communicated this to the owner of the Jigsaw company. But unfortunately, he did not want to undertake the exercise of reprinting the transcripts or providing printed notes.

So the bottom line is that things may seem optimistic at first when you first learn the concepts. But the moment you try to review you have to review the recordings again. This is quite irritating and time consuming.

Had they provided transcripts or printed notes, the review would have been easy. The last point is about Jigsaw's attitude. Despite the Havong they have been informed of, they are not interested in giving printed notes.

Guys be practical. How many times will you go through the recordings? Not time consuming? Isn't it faster to read printed content? What happens when the running time runs out ... let's say 6 months and you don't have access to the videos? ALL the things you saw on the recordings will evaporate. The transcripts are so bad that you can't even read them well.

See for yourself. This is my experience. It can be greatly improved. After all, you are paying INR 40,000 +. The least they can do is provide written content.

I chose Jigsaw Academy for one of the data analyst courses last year. Each forum says that it was good for the rest of the institute. So I choose them. I was learning Excel and SAS along with other techniques.

Excel: - I was already a pro at Excel, so I easily deleted the content. But its content was pretty messy. In fact, they write the classes / videos in a messy way. It was easier for me to understand, but anyone new to advancing in Excel may find it a bit difficult.

SAS and Statistical Techniques: - The draft of the videos also continues here. He was new to SAS and other statistical techniques, so it was a bit difficult to understand. However, after learning SAS from other YouTube videos. I was able to break it.

When I signed up, they were using WPS to teach SAS techniques. I think they are now using SAS college edition for this. But WPS was again a headache for me.

Placement: - THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU GET TO YOUR PLACE. it is a learning platform for a student and an income platform for them. Location is something they don't really understand. Forget about placement, their placement services are pathetic. They don't even help you write your resume or mock test.

I was in contact with them for the duration of the course. Now they complain that my phone is not available for colocation services.

In addition, they post jobs from other job portals. But the problem here is that they don't have newbie jobs. It requires someone from data science or artificial intelligence with the relevant experience. And most of the students are newbies, so they don't fit in here. He had experience (not data science) but was eligible for jobs.

Please don't waste your hard-earned money. it's just a market gimmick.

I understand that this is a very difficult decision to decide which course to choose for data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. I am writing this review for many aspiring students who ask me this question on linkedin.

I hope this helps!

As a former student and the research I did before joining this course was on quality and quantity. Quality in terms of teachers and quantity in terms of material and time.

Data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are a very broad subject and require a lot of time and learning. I had investigated some of the courses that are undoubtedly very inexpensive and the time they give is very short. I can safely say that it is very short, as I have already done this course and have seen my colleagues do a similar course, but they are lost. It is so fast for them that they cannot understand a topic and then a very big topic comes along.

The main point that I considered when reading this course was the topics that were covered and the time spent on each of them. Yes, these topics are vast and require a lot of time and self-study, but that's not the only thing. The main point in favor of this course were the people who taught us. Since for most of us this was a new subject and the biggest dilemma for a student to learn a new subject is to believe in what is being taught. Why would you believe in someone who is a newbie in this field, right? As you can check the PGPD UC official page, jigsaw and you can check the LinkedIn page to find out how much experience they have what they can offer you as a teacher. These professors are well known at the University of Chicago and Jigsaw, as well as in the industry in terms of guest lecturers. Why would I learn from someone who is a newbie in this field, but from someone who is a learned professional and who is already leading projects in this field? (I have already received some offers to be a part-time trainer in some of the institutes)

Placements are part of the process for such courses and Jigsaw provides good support for this. They provide calls from well-known companies from your corporate link and allow you to attend the interview. I have registered with Naukri and receive dozens of emails every day. Getting a job in this industry is surely not that easy and requires in-depth knowledge of this topic. Based on my experience, I can say that people appreciate the courses you have taken, but in the end, it all deepens in you. Were you able to answer questions based on your satisfaction? If not, I don't think any available course will help you. At most they can help you understand the subject and clear your doubts, which I found very useful in this course.

The field is complex and concepts are not easy to explain in a way that everyone can understand, but the Jigsaw faculty does just that. The support is exceptional from all sectors. It will prepare you to enter the field of analytics and give you a solid foundation for that. I am truly grateful to Jigsaw for showing me this new path and helping me decide my career direction.

Hi Sindhu, As far as I know, the Jigsaw Academy courses are quite broad and deep. My friend, who had taken a data science course, had only good things to say about his study materials and his classes. Also, it all depends on the course you are willing to take.

They are also quite good with placement assistance. I heard that the CEO also helps with recommendations. I would ask you to read some of your students' testimonials to get a better understanding, which can help you make a better decision.

I hope this helps.

I am a 2016 Jigsaw student. I was also part of the WhatsApp student group. Many of my fellow students kept complaining about not getting a job. I found this strange because they hadn't even finished a course and were talking about 7 lakh jobs. Some of them felt that they had paid the course fee and now the work should come automatically.

Jigsaw LMS has many career opportunities. Some of them are valid for newbies. Others require some experience.

Jigsaw won't get you high. They can only give you access to job openings. I also think that the changes they suggested to my resume were very good.

I think some students have unrealistic expectations. They don't want hard work, but rewards.

Jigsaw is doing a decent job. I am happy with my experience.

I am currently enrolled in your Full Stack Data Science course. Frankly, the course material and content are pretty normal. They will promise great things before signing up, but those are all lies. I would advise people to do their homework and not get carried away by false promises from such institutes. Save your hard-earned money and gain more insight by checking out free videos and websites.

Jigsaw Academy's promise of 100% placement assistance is a big lie. They provide zero placement assistance. All you will receive are links to various job portals like naukri. And if you ask them for help, they will tell you that they are not a placement consultant and that if your CV is pre-selected, you will receive a call from the companies. But the fact is that Jigsaw Academy certificates are not recognized by companies and your CV will never be shortlisted.
