What is the job of a one-stop shop operator?

Single Window Operators, SWOs, are part of the bank's administrative staff. They write and clear checks and money orders, make cash payments and receipts. There are generally two types of SWO, A and B.

One of the banks awarded the following as duties of the SWO

SINGLE WINDOW OPERATOR - A (SWO-A)

The following duties will be part of the normal duties of the administrative staff and for whose performance no special payment will be paid.

(a) Acknowledgments for incoming mail received.

(b) Receipt of checks, drafts, dividend payment orders, payment orders and other similar instruments other than bills and recognition in the parent company.

(c) Delivery of check stubs with prior authorization from the competent authority.

(d) Issue a cash receipt.

(e) Issuance of ESI stamps when appropriate or may become applicable.

(f) Banknote counting by the cash department staff.

(g) Secure adequate content on covers and envelopes, including registered ones, prior to shipment.

All employees will also need to perform all tasks and functions on their chart, either online or manually, which is not

involve any step or supervisory function of a bank official. The secretary will function where and when necessary, will function as a one-stop shop operator and will perform the following functions:

a. Approval and cash payment of all checks / withdrawal forms / bank checks / gift checks / etc. up to and including Rs. 10,000 / -

B. Write checks, vouchers, etc. of clearing and transfer independently (whether credits or debits) up to and including Rs. 15,000 / -

C. Receiving cash and issuing pre-signed money orders / gift checks / traveler's checks / money orders / bank orders, etc. up to and including Rs. 15,000 / -

DUTIES OF THE SINGLE WINDOW OPERATOR - B (SWO-B)

In addition to the SWO-A duties as stated above, the Single Window Operator - B duties will include:

a. Approval and cash payment of all checks / withdrawal forms / bank checks / gift checks, etc. up to and including Rs. 20,000 / -

B. Write checks, vouchers, etc. of clearing and transfer independently (whether credits or debits) up to and including Rs. 25,000 / -

C. Cash receipts and issuance of pre-signed money orders / gift checks / traveler's checks / money orders / bank orders, etc. up to and including Rs. 25,000 /
