What is better for a career in robotics, CSE or ECE? Which branch should I prefer?

Robotics requires knowledge of both hardware and software. As for the hardware part, the microcontroller is the heart of the robot and the integration of various components and sensors with the microcontroller is important. When you get to the software part, the code needs to be downloaded to the microcontroller (either .asm or C or python) to control the operation of the robot.

Which is better?

The ECE sequence provides a good idea and concepts of hardware and software that are required to deal with microcontrollers. You will find a subject / course on Microprocessors and Microcontrollers that provides the knowledge of hardware integration with software. The microcontroller along with its peripherals (hardware components) can be controlled by dumping the code into the microcontroller. Basic languages like. asm, Embedded C which are commonly used as coding languages for microcontrollers will be covered in this topic. And also the concepts of Embedded Systems are treated as a subject in ECE.

Two options:

If you want to choose robotics as a career option, you can choose either of two options: software or hardware. You have many career options for both the software developer and the full-time hardware developer. If you choose ECE, you will gain the knowledge of the hardware and software part and will be able to enter any flow in the future.

Thank you… All the best !!!

CSE, go safe, DO NOT TAKE ECE, it is a 4 year waste WHAT EVERY INDIAN ENGINEERING STUDENT SHOULD KNOW. You should read this Blog to become aware and fully understand the work culture in this / these SERVICE-BASED companies and Also Mandatory read the blog below. Please take just a couple of minutes to read both blogs, it's really worth the time. A NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE FOR BE / BTECH FRESHERS who work in service companies such as TCS, CTS, HCL, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, etc.
