What do you hate about job interviews?

Any. They are a tool and an opportunity.

If I hated any part, I wouldn't do well in them (and I do well in them, when I prepare correctly!)

We usually say "I hate" when we mean "I'm scared" or "I don't understand."

And we usually fear what we don't understand, so we go back to that.

Understand, respect, prepare (over-prepare), enjoy - that's your recipe for just about anything.

You can try the internet or, depending on where you live, there could be help from the government (for example, your unemployment board). Early in my career, I relied heavily on the help of recruiting agents, whose job it is to match the best candidates with the best positions for them and help them succeed in the interview.

That said, you can start the understanding part by asking yourself why they exist: put yourself in the shoes of someone looking for a new employer: what would you do and how would you do it?

Everything. I never liked interviews. I think they are stupid and a waste of time. In fact, I like the new wave approach that employers are taking today. And I am preparing to write an article about it.

The new trend is to reject you for work within two hours of requesting in the form of email.
