What did you enjoy at your University?

What did you enjoy at your University?

Yes, honestly, college has been a whirlwind of fun, sadness, anger, self-realization, all the emotions you can imagine. However, I find that I have been much happier in the position that I am in now than in high school. I have found amazing people that I can really call friends and I can see them in my life for a long time. I was able to build with other people emotionally, mentally and physically ... by learning more about who they are.

I have made many connections based on the activities I do. I've been on my school radio station and as I perform more on Open Mics, more people notice me and how much I participate. I have published 3 books, all of which have been a great learning experience and I am glad to continue learning even more.

College, of course, has its ups and downs, but I guess overall, so far, about to start my fourth year, it's an experience I'll never forget.

This is a long read, but it's worth it.

That's a great question. In fact, asking that question itself makes you awesome! Most people know that they should really enjoy life, but they rarely try. These are some of the things that made me really happy:

  1. I don't give a shit what people think of me, society, others, religion, science, culture or practice. This always gave me the power to do what I thought was necessary to do (and morally and legally right), not because of * some * human work or * man said God said it * nonsense.
  2. Using logic. Knowing that the belief system is crooked, yeah

Knowing that the belief system is twisted, if it is okay to kill chicken for meat, but not cow for the same reason. Respect for life is the same for all living. Knowing that the system is twisted if someone makes you "respect the elderly" when an elder does not respect you or someone around you equally. That it's a good idea to plan to arrive at the airport well before your scheduled time, even if * others * think it's okay to arrive at the last minute.
  3. Understand that happiness is a choice. Like laughing at jokes, which may not be funny, but you can still choose to laugh out loud when surrounded by friends or loved ones to enjoy the moment.
  4. Happiness in the little things. This, alone, has been more effective than anything else. Buying that jar of blackcurrant jam, or the package of cooked shrimp. Or the packet of noodles. And eat it when and how you want. Even when I know it can disrupt my digestion for a couple of hours. A digestive tablet is not going to ruin my life. It's okay to eat 5 different flavored ice creams one after another from the ice cream cart and then catch a cold (it's perfectly manageable with one hand to have a cold in a while).
  5. I quit smoking, but I have an amazing collection of lighters from Zippo and other locals. It doesn't cost a fortune. And I had a bad digestion day yesterday after finding out it's not a good idea to dip crab cakes in shrimp pickles. But it made my day and it's not illegal to dip pickled crab cakes. But I've been there, I've done that! Others have been to the International Space Station, and I was awake most of last night because of the pickle. Happiness is an option. I know they don't add up, but I don't need them to, if you understand me. My life is neither designed nor exists for the purpose of someone else to judge. Again, I quit smoking and I think it's a good idea that you should too.
  6. Happiness is a choice, again. Someone can wear formal wear to a party, and there will be people who say that it would have been a better idea to wear casual wear. Wear casual clothes, and you may find a well-dressed guy in formalwear getting compliments. Put something in between and be sorry to see the photos on Facebook that you are not * highlighting *. Wear something that really stands out and makes them laugh at you. Have you ever seen Steve Jobs in a black T-shirt and jeans? Wear what you think looks good. There is nothing better than that. You will only blame yourself.
  7. * Something * doesn't really matter if that * something * won't matter after a year.
  8. Mathematics is not that important. So it's not Geography, History, or Physics, or the distance from the Sun to the Moon, unless you need to pass an exam. It's just as good not to know or understand Einstein, or Stephen Hawking, or William Shakespeare. It doesn't matter in my life and it probably won't matter in yours. Reading a lot of things and trying to gain a lot of knowledge about * everything * when you have the time or desire to do so is a good idea, not a survival necessity.
  9. Do your job well. It's okay not to be the best at what you're doing, but it's important to constantly try to improve yourself.
  10. It's amazing to keep watching and enjoying Tom n Jerry, the Mickey Mouse stuff (I love The Roadrunner Show), and not being one percent interested in the * insert the latest hot topics * on Quora or Facebook.
  11. These are some golden sayings that made my life wonderful. God never said anything or wrote any books. You don't have time to do it. He doesn't need our protection or our prayers. God has better things to do, and God is far more powerful than man thinks he is. God cares in the most amazing way. If praying makes someone happy and gives them strength to do things, so be it.
  12. What * others * think of me is totally and absolutely * their * business, and not mine (since my actions are moral and legal). If I think about what others think of me, then I am not thinking for myself. , and that's wasting my time.
  13. If someone considers that my security consciousness is excessive it is * fear *, or my perfect organization of things at home or in the office is * OCD *, or they interpret my kindness and kindness as * weakness *, or my constant experiments with the food or lifestyle to be * indifferent and fickle *, please see point 2.
  14. Be good to everything and everyone. My stay in the United States in the past taught me courtesy and courtesy, and I have improvised it many times. I say "thank you" to the waiter * every * time he serves me or pours water into my glass, no matter if the restaurant is a five-star or a makeshift roadside stand, no matter if the waiter understands the words, no matter if has heard it and responds or not. I say "thank you" to the concierge * every time * I go in or out of a bathroom. I say "thank you" to God * before * and * after * the trip or challenge. I also say "thank you" when I remember all the people who have mistreated me in one way or another that made me stronger, to all those people who have done a lot of good in my life,
  15. Take ownership of everything that has been or is currently in force in my life. It's amazing to have the balls to stand up and say in front of the mirror "Yes, I blew it, I'll try better next time, no harm." It is an incredible feeling to enjoy, first with yourself and also with others. It's amazing talking to yourself, yelling at yourself, or screaming with euphoria at an achievement.
  16. Somewhere on the Internet I had read this: * Masturbation is incredible. Consider this: if you don't enjoy having sex with yourself, why would someone else enjoy having sex with you? * Good effects so far!
  17. I really enjoy being with my family (it's big, the historic joint family from India), and I try to make every encounter with them amazing for me and them.

PS: I had a love match with the lady of my life, a couple of years before. She is amazing. I also try to make every day special to her, as if I just met her, and get the feeling reciprocated! It is a heavenly feeling.

Peace!
