2. IES (Indian Engineering Services) - This is the most important government exam for any engineering service in India. It is driven by UPSC and happens to be in the following sections - Pre, Network and Interview.

Most of the Class A engineers in India are selected through this exam.

They occupy the top positions in any of the construction departments like: CPWD, Railways, Subways, Geological Survey of India, Central Hydraulic Engineering, Border Highway Engineering Services and many more.

3. SSC junior engineer

Both the graduate and the graduate can apply for this particular exam, which is carried out every year in two parts per ssc (there is no interview for this job):

1 preliminaries- in the month of January, February

2 main - in the month of July, August.

Candidates selected through this are put to work in all central government departments in construction, namely CPWD, central water engineering, MES, central water commission. Etc.

These were the exams that are done every year.

Now there are some exams that are certainly not held every year but still offer equivalent positions, these are:

RRB (Railway Contract Board) -

Railways hire section engineers and junior engineers through separate examinations.

PSC -

The state commission of public services also conducts an engineering exam, the candidates selected through these exams are put to work in the state government departments such as: PWD, highway development corporations, irrigation, phed, VVN.

In my opinion, state government exams are relatively easier to compete than central government exams.

So best of luck folks

The federal government has some private companies, such as banks, oil companies, energy companies, and other strategic firms. In this case, employees must also take exams to enter, only when published by the company. But once approved, you are hired under the common federal labor constitution law, as most private companies also track and manage employment. However, there are some specific guidelines and instructions that give them almost the same job stability status as federal officials.

So, answering your question, in Brazil, as a civil engineer, you can work for the federal government in many positions and different government spheres (executive, legislative and judicial).

For example, I am employed in a Brazilian federal bank.
