They can be Bank PO exams or SSC or PSU / Gate or UPSC / State PSC exams. I heard that a young IRSSE officer had been hit by a train leaving his family in despair, this also adds an additional risk to his job profile (are life insurance companies listening?). Now you will be asked to send the video of the glitch site on whatsapp. (This is totally bullshit and unofficial, but it has gotten rampant on the railroad.) Now when the fault has been fixed and you return home in the morning hours, mainly at 7am or 6.30am,

Don't even think this sounds challenging, this is total harassment. And now the rail days are recruiting young officers like everything, there is a stagnation of promotions in railways. It takes 4-5 years for an ASTE / ADSTE to become DSTE, normally it should only take 3 years. The situation worsens when you go up. There is a transfer every 3 or 4 years; this is painful when you have children.

Even if you are selected in the central personnel scheme, you will not be easily relieved of the railroad unless you have some connection to higher-ups.

Now I sincerely suggest that you dig deeper into these things and then just make a decision on how to prepare for IES. This is applicable to other services as well such as IRSEE, IRSE and IRSME. Please don't fall prey to the glamorous publicity of famous training classes in Delhi and Hyderabad.

However, even after this, if you still want to join the railroad, I can think of only two services that you can join, namely IRPS (Personnel Service) and IRAS (Account Service). My reason is simple, as these are the only organized rail services, other than the IRSS, that are not directly related to the operation of the train. They have interaction with all the other departments. All invoices must be approved by the accounts department, each new bid proposal, indentation of shares and out of stock must obtain the authorization of the account. You are getting what I mean. The account officer and staff do not have to rush to the accident site and the major derailment site because they are not related to the operation of the train.

Since these days, train accidents have become frequent and the higher ups need a scapegoat. You may be suspended or charged early in the race. There are cases with AEN, AEE that were suspended for reasons beyond their control. But his career is ruined.

Summary: I strongly suggest that you stay away from the railroad death trap and look for other career options.

But the basic eligibility criteria require a master's degree in computer science.

Furthermore, you are always free to proceed towards master's and doctorate degrees and enter IITS, NITS, IIITS and other central government educational institutes as assistant professors.

This list is to the best of my knowledge and there are many more government organizations that recruit computer science graduates from time to time. The hiring procedure for each of them varies. Some call you through the GATE test, some take their own test, some recruit through both. It is also important to mention that hiring is totally dependent on vacancies. It may happen that in a particular year they are all recruiting in large numbers together. And next year there could be a shortage of vacancies.
