I can classify my answer into two categories. One that would help you build a career in case you want to change from your main job and the second is a purely financial interest.

1. Category that would help you win and build a career in case you want to change from your main job.

  • Teach in their basic subject areas. Websites like Private Teachers, Home Tutors India .com :: Provider can help you find a suitable student for you where you can teach on the weekends and earn good money. As long as constant effort can make you a great teacher in the long run.
  • Encoding assignments. When doing coding assignments, if you are proficient in programming languages, this would earn you a decent amount of money, and you can turn this into your career in the long run.
  • Working as an intern: - Understand your key areas of interest in life such as painting, fitness training, dance, or interior design etc, if any. Find a professional who is well established in this field. Offer your services to him for a small fee as salary and teachings from him. You can quickly pick things up and start working on your own, if that's your life's interest.
  • Entrepreneur - Last but not the easiest, go for this if you have a zeal for becoming something phenomenal in life. Cultivate an idea that can be sold, it can be original or it can be a copy. If it is copied, try to make it look like added value for the better. There may be millions of ideas that you can start with with a little capital. Think about it, think about it and work hard to make your idea GLORY.

2. Category that would help you earn money. Pure economic interest and no long-term plans.

  • Multi-level marketing. (Like AMWAY)
  • Agents for insurance companies, etc.
  • Sales representative on weekends.
  • Be part of event management groups.
  • Waiting tables or staff in hotels. This may sound a bit arrogant, but think about it, this is not a bad option.

As someone who worked part time from age 18 until graduation, I can assure you that there are many jobs in Bangalore. My first part-time job was during the short break after class 12 and before starting my engineering course. It was with the largest market research agency in Asia. I think I found out about this job in a newspaper classified ad. It required me to interview people from a certain demographic and fill out a 10-page questionnaire. I think they paid me around 150 rupees per interview.

After starting my Engineering course, I continued to work part-time on weekends and during semester breaks. I used to earn 250-300 rupees a day working for agencies that handle product promotion. This involved promoting products such as PCs, mobile phone services, and consumer goods in stores or outdoor locations in commercial areas.
These numbers are more than 10 years old. Old jobs probably pay better now.

Hi there. Thanks for the A2A and sorry to hear about your leg!

Yes, there are many part-time jobs that are friendly!

Look for office positions like customer service, technical support, administrative assistant, receptionist, etc.

Most of today's jobs require us to sit around all day and this can get quite unhealthy. So when you're looking for a job, you should consider whether jobs allow you to get up and move around (by the time your leg heals!).

Good luck!
