Is it difficult to get a developer job in Silicon Valley?

It depends on where you come from and your credentials.

Most of the people I went to school with or know from previous jobs have no trouble finding developer jobs. They may not find their ideals, but they do.

Some things that people who hire look at:

  • For young people, school, grades and personal projects.
  • For the more experienced: previous work projects, increasing responsibilities.
  • For all: demonstration of skills (during interviews).
