Is a bank clerk job good?

Definitely yes. Everyone says it is boring, a routine job, a slow pace of life, etc. The truth is

  1. Learning: There are many things to learn in the banking field. You have many opportunities to help people. Say, for example, you have many government schemes that help the poor. But no one knows completely. Such as BSBDA, PMSBY, PMJJBY, AWAS, crop insurance, NEEDS, etc. Government savings plans exist from children to retirees like SSA, PPF, APY, NPS, KVP, etc. Even bank debit / credit cards have free insurance, but who will explain it to you, only the people who know it, if you have the attitude to learn

Even bank debit / credit cards have free insurance, but who explains it to you, only the people who know it. If you have the attitude of learning, you will have the ocean in front of you. You can learn, grow, and help others grow. You have IIBF, NSIM etc for your professional development with courses such as JAIIB, CAIIB, CCO, CRA etc.
  2. Career Growth - If you are ready to take on greater responsibility, then you are in the fastest career progression industry in the government sector. Each bank has its own promotion policy. We will keep the fast track promotion average will be 3 years in each frame. So consider 25 years when joining as an employee in a nationalized bank. Employee for 3 years. By 28 officer Scale 1 (Assistant Manager). By 31 officer Scale 2 (Manager). By 34 officer of scale 3 (Senior Manager). By 37 officer scale 4 (CEO). By 41 scale 5 officer (Deputy Director General). By 44 officer of scale 6 (Deputy Director General). BY 47 officer scale 7 (General Manager). Then you will have ED and CEO. With the right attitude and knowledge, you can become the CEO of a bank. No other industry offers you this kind of dramatic growth. What happens is that you must learn to manage people, acquire a lot of knowledge, be influential. As one said: "It does not mean where you start, but where you end." This industry has everything it takes to grow.
  3. Salary: Salary at the start will get around 20,000 PM. If you delete JAIIB you get 1 increment. If you delete CAIIB you get 2 increments. And every year you get an increase according to the bipartisan agreement. It must be renewed as of November 2017. Therefore, the bipartite agreement will increase after the eleventh agreement. Ideally, in 2 years, if you clear CAIIB, you will get 32,000 PM as gross. Then you get an allowance of around 1000-1500 PM (Gas, Newspaper, Cleaning Expenses, etc.).
  4. Influential: You get to know a lot of people in this industry. Many great clients. You will get good respect from clients, as people trust bankers than any other government department. Nowadays everything comes to banking, like aadhar service, insurance, gas subsidy, government sponsored MSMEs, mudra, pension, etc. You will get many connections. Much hell. Be good and perfect at work. You will be influential. Once you get to that seat, you will know.
  5. Satisfaction: You will be 200% satisfied at work if you feel that helping is good. You'll see that even the educated don't know how to keep their hard-earned money safe and make money for themselves. You will see very poor people going to the bank for a gas subsidy. For these poor people, you can make PMSBY & PMJJBY help your family during the crisis. You can reach out to people without a bank account to open PMJDY and help them save little for the future.

Above all, if you are interested in learning, you will get everything that others say from another sector (Challenging, a lot to learn, etc.). But if you just need a government job, then chances are. I got to see a lot of people come to work, do what is presented to them and just leave.

Your question reminds me of a famous quote from Orwell's novel Animal Farm: All animals are equal but some are more equal than others, which means that they all appear to be the same but some are actually treated better than others. He was alluding to Stalin's type of communism.

Looking at it from this perspective, an office job anywhere is not something to stand out about. As Orwell says, you will be treated differently from others who enter the civil service as appointed officials in government and banks.

Society does not view an employee with the same amount of respect.

Society does not regard a secretary with the same respect as high-level and agreed-upon officials. Even the parents of pretty girls are reluctant to marry their daughters to employees.

As much as I wish, the harsh reality of life is that not everyone has the talent to survive in the highly competitive race for dream jobs.

If you do not have the necessary materials to join the career, an office job is certainly a good option. Pay and benefits are good for supporting a family with reasonable accommodations. They usually place it in a branch near your home and do not transport it frequently with concomitant dislocation caused by dislocations.

Job descriptions do not place heavy burdens on your time, energy, and health. It provides the opportunity to broaden the horizon of your vision over a broader canvas of people working in various professions and to feel the pulse of the economy.

Your job at the bank gives you the opportunity to work your way up the higher rungs of the hierarchical ladder through hard work and excellent service records.

At the end of the day, the satisfaction that comes with the work you are doing defines the true level of happiness. Well, if you feel happy, office work is as good as any other for earning a living and leading a comfortable life with a sense of dignity.
