That completely depends on the rest of your skills.

While some engineers are completely useless if they don't do math, many also have practical skills, and their formal education only reinforces them. Depending on the practical skills you have, you should draw on them. Most of the other engineers I know could easily get a job as a machinist, electrician, welder, plumber, carpenter, instrumentation technician, facility maintenance, etc. but I can also think of a few that I have met that I would not trust to properly mount a pre-fab shelf from Ikea.

I advise all my students to develop practical skills. That means if you are an electrical engineering student, you must also be an electrician apprentice. If you are a mechanical engineering student, you should also strive to learn metalworking and carpentry.

Experience in a practical field will also give you a hiring advantage over someone who can't put something like that on their resume.

But the main reason is that when you are between jobs or if you are only employed seasonally, you can draw on those practical skills to avoid stressing over money until you can find a higher paying job as an engineer.

I am studying mechanical engineering (last year) at VIT Vellore. Therefore, my placement season continues, even I feel that the main jobs are not good compared to the non-essential ones for MECH. So in this placement time when I analyzed, I found that most of the jobs that came in for the role of data analyst and consultant were high. So to land a job with a decent 5-7LPA package, learn Python, R, and the skill sets required for a data analyst and consultant role.
