I am 22 years old, I am an engineer without a job, I want to travel all over India but I have no money. How can I earn money and travel at the same time?

Let me tell you a little idea about that, recently I have seen a video of a man, who traveled almost 15+ countries with almost no money, I will give you some tips that I have learned from him.

You don't need to be rich to travel, all you need is a little courage and willpower to get out of your comfort zone.

Just pack, make a plan, and move on.

You need money for only 3 reasons,

  1. To travel "Train / bus ticket or boarding pass"
  2. Some place to stay like "Lodge, hotel or somewhere"
  3. Food and other extras.

If you minimize these three things, then you could freely travel anywhere.

  1. To travel "Train / bus ticket or boarding pass"
  2. Some place to stay like "Lodge, hotel or somewhere"
  3. Food and other extras.

If you minimize these three things, then you could freely travel anywhere.

Let me tell you how

  1. Hitch

You can travel anywhere without spending money with full adventures, and you never heard the sword of the people. They will scare you from another state / country with false stories.

People love to travel alone for adventures, I swear to you these trips will teach you something and test your patience and at the same time it will be more fun than “Traveling by bus / train sleeping all the time”.

Every day you will meet new people every time and have some travel stories to share with them and at some point some might invite you to stay at their place for one night. At some point you don't need to worry about accommodation.

Your THUMB is the best travel ticket to travel from A to B at no cost.

2 - There is a website, called Meet and Stay with Locals All Over the World, there are many hosts, and people will let you stay at their house for free, they will never ask you to pay, you can see I know those people from all over the world using the "Couch surfing" website.

Take a grocery bag with you. So that you can sleep wherever you want at night, at some point some close strangers will invite you to sleep at their house.

3 - If you stay at someone's house, you will get free food and you can earn some money while traveling, doing some help for people and they will also pay you or you can make a deal like I will help you, but you have to pay me or bring me some foods instead. At some point you have done something interesting to get money from people like making music on the street. But not every day will be the same.

But, if you get on your way, you will always get some Idea to survive or Ideas to get any job.

That man said: "He traveled freely on a boat from" India - Indonesia - Australia "helping them by boat like doing some small jobs and they offered him free food and a free ride and when he got to Australia he got a job" Traffic diversion "And he they paid $ 20 for an hour, and he earned money that he spent the last 8 months in 13 days.

If you are really willing to work in any situation, you will get a job while traveling.

It would have been better if you had told us more about your education and the region you currently reside in.

You are an engineer and you live in India, so you are at least bilingual and probably trilingual, which deduces that you are in the top 10% of the population of India and that gives you an advantage. So feel good about it.

  1. Work on your skills. Any skill. Negotiation, business skills, machine learning, service industry, maintenance, basically anything.
  2. Make a resume that makes you stand out and apply for jobs through online job portals and at least get a couple of interviews.

  3. Getting a job as a favorite - salesperson - technical sales engineer will be easy. I know many companies that hire B. Com / B. South Carolina. on the pay scale of 15k per month. Ignore the pay scale for at least 6 months.
  4. Once it's in sales, companies pay for room / board and any other travel expenses. Since you would be at the entry level, you will not be able to roam the country, but at least you will be covering quite a state.
  5. With a strong work ethic, you would get promoted in a year and that will get you roaming two or three states. Three years after that, he would be a manager of some kind and fly in India.

As you may have already deduced, it is not a ripe fruit. But it is not impossible either since you are an engineer and you are in a booming economy. Having said that, I also want to say that it's not going to be as easy or as lighthearted as Kabeer describes it in "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani."

I hope this helps.

There are many people in the world who have done engineering and are unemployed. First of all, don't be discouraged. Now if you want to travel to India and want to earn at the same time, I don't think an engineering job can provide that for you, because engineering job is basically a 9 to 5 office job. So it is good news for you that you are unemployed right now.

So now what you think is that you want to do something where you can earn money and travel. There are many jobs in India that will provide you the same. As you are only 22 years old, you still have a lot of time to change fields and choose another car.

Along with that, try to develop some hobbies that can help you travel and earn money in the future. Some hobbies that can help you travel around India are: -

  • Photography
  • Learn to play some instruments
  • Start your blogs
  • Learn some marketing strategy
  • Became a motorcyclist
  • Autonomous

And the list goes on ...

Traveling is the best gift you can give yourself.

Learn graphic design, SEO, web design, social media - these are all things one can do while traveling to earn money. Find work on freelance websites and upload your portfolios.

You can earn money and travel that way.

* Edit - I just want to add YOU CAN TEACH YOURSELF absolutely anything! All of the above here is available to learn on youtube and other websites. If you feel like learning, you can work as a freelancer, earn good money and travel.

This is going to be a long answer ... and quite generic.
Before you ask the best "travel" companies for work, let's get a few things straight.

We all love to travel (at least most of us). Living a life of constant travel is a dream that almost everyone else has. Now that this point has been addressed, let's move on.

A "travel company" is an extremely broad term. Looking for travel ecommerce websites like makemytrip or yatra? Because they, my friend, are purely vacation package and ticketing websites. You will be a programmer, analyst, marketing manager.

You will be a programmer, analyst, marketing director, etc. in that company. Not someone who is funded to travel places. (Makemytrip has recently started a blog like some startups on Facebook; you could check it out.) Obviously, you will be taking work related trips, but that is true of almost any business whether you are in sales or customer visits etc. . Makemytrip and Yatra are like any other service company in the country. They do not organize exotic hikes or expeditions in the Himalayas.

Now before I venture further, let's clear things up. the "Travel" company you are looking for is a company that pays you to travel and see the world ... If that is what you are looking for, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Which skills do you have? Are you good with people? Do you have experience in trekking and mountaineering? If yes, there are many companies like Trek the Himalayas, IndiaHikes, Thrillophilia, etc. where you can find work as a trekking leader. Best part? You can do all the walks for free! But pay a minimum, so keep that in mind. (You may need to show solid experience or have an Advanced Mountaineering course certificate before tackling these jobs.)

You are a good writer? Do you find yourself thinking in words? Get a job as a freelance travel writer. There are a lot of companies looking for content writers ... If you are a travel enthusiast, your Facebook wall must be flooded with "10 things to do in Bangalore", "5 places to visit before turning 30". etc ;. Grab these companies and apply.

Are you good with photography? You get where I'm going with this. Find what you are good at. I will say it once. Ratings are overrated. They don't matter as much as skill sets. You don't need a sheet of paper to prove you're good at writing, maybe ... If you have a blog, it's worth more than a degree in English literature to apply as a travel writer. Your engineering degree won't save you when you have to ensure the safety of your equipment during bad weather on a hike!

Google, Facebook, LinkedIn. These 3 magic words will take you far. Network. You could be on a fully sponsored trip anywhere in the world. You never know.

Thanks for the A2A.
One thing you should surely point out is: Why did you have to post this question anonymously? Seriously. Think about it. If you're expecting something like that, it's really cool. Anonymous tag is not required.
Earning money while traveling will require more than special skills. I like to call them - life skills. Skills that will help you stay alive. Like Rambo! Ok, not that serious, but still life skills are what you should aim to learn and master as well. Some prominent examples would be:

1. Cook - If you can cook (and) have a chef's specialty recipe, it will earn you more than money. It will help you win friends and people who will remember you for the rest of their lives. Learn to cook and master some recipes. Nothing like cooking while traveling and winning.
2. Talent - Now, a talent for doing mental math may not help you earn money easily. Or for that matter, counting the value of pi to infinity: a traveler may need skills like a beautiful voice, also known as a singer, dancing and entertaining, playing a musical instrument, etc. What amuses people is what sells the most. Expect easy earnings there too.
3. The beggar and the traveler - The beggar can also beg and make ends meet. A traveler adds value, motivates the people around him, makes everyone feel comfortable in his presence, entertains, has a romantic outlook, is compassionate, is open to anything and everything along the way.
4. Teach and don't preach - People don't like to be preached to. However, they appreciate timely help and easy-to-learn tips and tricks for everyday life. Try to learn and master some of them.

You will find a common trait that is required in all the things I mentioned. That is, self-confidence and the ability to please people. You have to worry about people before they start to worry about you. Make people happy and they won't blink twice to help you win. Rest assured, it's easy to earn money on the go. Remember, your profit goal would be to make ends meet or pay the maximum for the entire backpacking trip. Expect more than that - traveling becomes business, not pleasure! :)

My dad was an ordinary public school teacher and my mother was a homemaker. Since my father had a difficult childhood after losing his father at a very young age, he had a desire to travel the world, but he kept it to himself and never revealed it to any of us.

He did all his homework correctly by giving me and my brother a good education. After his retirement, my dad began his journey around the world. Today he has traveled to 19 countries, after his retirement. The amazing thing here, being the father of two engineers, he never consulted us on how to apply for a visa for any of the countries or for any financial support. I later learned from my father that he had worked a lot part-time and that he had started investing in small NSC bonds that began to mature and provided him with the necessary funds. His planning dates back 20 years, which means he started collecting money when he was about 45 years old ... I'm still in awe of what he's accomplished and that's without overburdening anyone between the ages of 59 and 69. Here are some photos of my dad's visit,

Apart from this, my father has traveled to all the states of India :). He has made two tours throughout India.

So if you have a well-established plan and discipline, you can do it.

List of countries my dad had traveled to.

I'll add some more photos… Since most of them are with my dad, I need to get them.

There are many guys who are caught up in this unsolved desire and mystery.

Welcome to the club, bro :)

It is not possible to travel without money, time and age.

You cannot earn money without time and age (in 99% of the cases).

Age cannot be recovered even if there is time and money.

There it is, deadlock!

If traveling was free, perhaps we would have been able to see the large group of people who constantly travel the earth. Traveling definitely comes at a cost.

Whether for travel or for whatever reason, getting rich is not a simple formula. But you don't need a lot of money to travel, as you think.

Whether for travel or for whatever reason, getting rich is not a simple formula. But you don't need a lot of money to travel, as you think.

This guy proves it.

It's Jamie, a citizen of the United Kingdom. I met him on my recent trip to the Himalayas.

Let me tell you a few facts about him.

  • He is 49 years old. He has been traveling for the last 14 years.
  • He lost his parents when he was 28 years old.
  • His girlfriend decided to leave him when he was 30 years old.
  • He is not married after that.
  • He claims that he has traveled more than the distance of the circumference of the earth by bicycle.
  • Choose a different mode to travel. Sometimes on boats, buses, trains, bicycles, cars, bicycles, etc.
  • He lives in Goa- India, Bali-Indonesia (owns a house)
  • He has covered more than 30+ countries in this span and is determined to continue.

So the obvious question you would get is, what is the profession that led you to earn so much money and relieved you at a young age?

He served in the UK Army.

He survives on his pension and continues to travel. You do not have a large balance in a bank, as you think.

It's not just money, but more than that: determination to travel. When he decided to travel, he sold his house that he bought when he was 25 years old.

He has absolutely no regrets for the 15 years of his travel life.

~ Have a nice day ~

Earning money while traveling may seem like a tough job, but it's not rocket science. It depends from person to person, the quality they have, the type of tour they are on, etc. Whatever the reason, there is some way to win on the go.

You can win by acting. Music, Dance, Art Whatever skill you possess, you can use it to earn some rupees while traveling. You can pass through a busy place and start playing guitar, singing and dancing, or displaying some other art. Indians always like street entertainment and won't mind spending a few bucks on entertainment. Don't be shy or feel inferior because even the greatest artists have done this.

If you can work online, you can earn on the go too, as a content writer or blogger can even earn on the go. You only need to have access to the Internet. You can also do freelance work online on websites like Fiver and Odesk.

You can do tutorials and seminars to earn money. You can go to schools and universities and teach people interesting things and earn some money while traveling.
You can sell things to earn money while traveling. You can pick up some easy to transport things from one place to another and sell them on the go.

You can earn by being a tour guide. IF you have a feel for that place and some good communication skills, you can easily get them by being a tour guide. There are agencies looking for tour guides on the spot or you can casually gather a group of travelers and be a tour guide.

It will not be difficult for you to earn money wherever you go if you are a true foodie and not afraid of new places and people.

It depends on the type of trip you want, there are sales jobs that provide a lot of travel opportunities and also offer a good salary, but I'm not sure if you mean corporate travel. But yes, there are works from Discovery, Fox traveler, Make my trip, Yatra, etc. that essentially pay to travel (again depends on the profile you are in).

PS: If you really love to travel then don't depend on any job for it, do it when you have time from your current job. All jobs suck, we just have to take time out of our boring routine lives to search for something we really love. And in doing so, who knows?
